The province says a new grant program will help ag. societies cut costs and emissions.

$10-million dollars has been set aside to help with things like new heating, lighting, and rink equipment.

The money is coming from the province’s Climate Leadership Plan, which is funded by the carbon tax.

A release from the province says ag. societies operate more than 700 halls, rinks, and other facilities around the province.
