Garage fire in Crystal Ridge neighbourhood

Fire crews were called to the Crystal Ridge neighbourhood this morning.

A garage fire broke out on 123 Avenue close to 96 Street.

A passer-by spotted the blaze, called 911, and got the people in the house to evacuate.

The Fire Department says while the cold weather impeded their efforts, they were able to get the fire out quickly.

The fire is now being investigated. The cause is unknown. 

No injuries were reported.

Firefighters also responded to a single vehicle fire last night.

Crews arrived on-scene to the vehicle engulfed in flames and the GPFD says the vehicle was a total loss.

No injuries were reported in that fire.
