RCMP surround residence in Wembley, public asked to avoid the area

Update (Feb. 19): The police operation has concluded and officers have left the area.  According to RCMP,  they were searching for a male and had information about his location but it did not pan out.

(Feb. 18) There is a heavy police presence in Wembley and the public is asked to avoid the area. 

RCMP have a home surrounded on 98 Street just north of 99 Avenue. 

According to RCMP, there is no concern for public safety, but please avoid the area for the time being.
