UPDATE: Wanted man arrested in Grande Prairie

UPDATE: 31-year-old Tal Kalum LaRIVIERE was arrested in Grande Prairie today (Feb. 18). Prince George RCMP would like to thank the public for their assistance with this matter. RCMP put the call out for the public’s help today and within just hours the suspect was arrested.  RCMP received an anonymous tip that he was on a bus to Grande Prairie. He was arrested upon arrival.

 

(10:05 a.m): Police say a man wanted on a Canada Wide Warrant has ties to Grimshaw and could be in the area.

The Prince George RCMP are requesting the public’s help in locating 31-year-old Tal Kalum LaRiviere.

The arrest warrant was issued after LaRiviere failed to meet the conditions of his release by missing curfew at his designated residence in Prince George, BC.

He has connections in Vernon, BC and Grimshaw, Alberta and may be travelling in Northern Alberta or Northern BC.

He is described as a Metis male, 188 cm (6’2″) tall, weighting 88 kg (194 lbs), with brown hair and brown eyes.

He could be driving a blue 1994 GMC 1500 pick-up bearing BC licence plate MY9880.  (Photo is of a similar vehicle).

LaRiviere is considered violent and police say if you spot him or his vehicle to not confront him and call 911 immediately.
