Staff at car dealership west of Edmonton face 16 charges after a senior complained she was pressured into buying two vehicles.

The Alberta Motor Vehicle Industry Council began investigating Grove Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram after the customer alleged she was pressured into buying a vehicle she couldn’t afford.

The woman went back to the dealership to try and fix the situation and was reportedly sold a second vehicle.

The dealer, business manager, general sales manager and a salesperson have been charged under Alberta’s Consumer Protection Act with undue pressure, taking advantage of a consumer and other offences.

RCMP are also investigating.
