Environmental group expecting Trans Mountain pipeline expansion to be approved again

An environmental group says it expects the National Energy Board to again approve the Trans Mountain pipeline expansion.
The federal regulator is to release its decision this morning in Calgary.
Sven Biggs with the group Stand-dot-earth says it won’t stop opponents from launching legal challenges against the project that would pump more Alberta oil to the West Coast for export.
The board’s 2016 approval of the project was set aside last summer by the Federal Court of Appeal over concerns about marine life and Indigenous consultation.
