Guhle traded to Ducks

A former Grande Peace Athletic Club product is on the move.

21-year-old blueliner Brendan Guhle was traded Sunday afternoon from the Buffalo Sabres along with a 1st round pick to the Anaheim Ducks for fellow defenceman Brandon Montour.

Guhle, was a member of the Grande Peace Athletic Club Bantam AAA Storm from 2009-2011.

Guhle has also spent most of the season with the AHL’s Rochester Americans, playing 50 games and has produced 2 goals and 25 assists.

The young blueliner will be the 2nd local connection on the Anaheim Ducks.  He joins Sexsmith product and former Grande Prairie Storm forward Cartner Rowney.
