Cougars spotted on trails at Wapiti Nordic Ski Club

The Wapiti Nordic Ski Club is saying a cougar and two cubs have reportedly been spotted along the trail Tuesday evening.

The ski club has told Everything GP the cougars passed by two skiers on the trail and the cats had no interaction with the people who spotted them. The club notes plenty of skiers were out last night, but no one else saw the cougars.

They say Fish and Wildlife are being contacted this morning and they’re encouraging everyone to use caution when on the trails. People are also advised against traveling alone.
