Alberta to play for women’s hockey gold at the Canada Games

A second Peace Region athlete will be coming home from the Canada Games in Red Deer with a medal.
 
Brooklyn Tews and the women’s hockey team needed overtime to get past BC 2-1 in the semi-final round Friday afternoon.
 
Alberta will take on the winner of Friday night’s semi-final between Ontario and Quebec Saturday afternoon in the final.
 
Michelle Grisales from Grande Prairie won an individual bronze medal in judo at the Games. She will also get a gold medal after Alberta won the women’s team competition Friday, although she did not actually compete in that event.
 
Grande Prairie’s Kayla Milne competed in three of the four snowboarding events contested at the Games but did not get on the podium.
