Athletics eye spot in NPHL final

The Grande Prairie Athletics will have another chance to clinch their spot in the North Peace Hockey League Final Tuesday night as they host the Falher Pirates in Game 6 of their best of seven series.

Falher Pirates forward Darren Kramer is a big reason why the series is coming back to Grande Prairie.

The former Grande Prairie Storm Captain and Manitoba Moose forward notched his 2nd hat-trick of the league semi-final in Game 5 to lift the Pirates to a 4-2 win.

Grande Prairie leads the best of seven 3-2.

A win by the Athletics Tuesday night would send them to the league final against the Dawson Creek Canucks.

However, a win by Falher would force a Game 7 in Falher Thursday night.

Puck drop for Tuesday night’s Game 6 is at 8:30 p.m. from the Coca-Cola Centre.
