Eckville man now accused of sexually assaulting children
An Eckville man arrested and charged in January for alleged child porn-related offences is now accused of sexually assaulting several children.
Following an extensive ALERT Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit investigation, numerous new charges relating to child sexual exploitation have been laid against Christopher Juneau, bringing the total counts against him to 73.
ICE’s continued investigation into the 34-year-old has identified at least eight child victims who were allegedly sexually assaulted by Juneau dating back to 2013.
Following media coverage of Juneau’s arrest in January, police say a number of potential victims came forward with information. ICE identified additional victims through a forensic analysis of computers and other electronic devices seized from Juneau’s home that so far has yielded more than half a million images and videos of child sexual exploitation and voyeurism. ICE forensic technicians have yet to complete their full analysis.
