RCMP recognizes local company for its support of Camp Little Buffalo
The RCMP has recognized a local company Thursday for its support of Camp Little Buffalo.
RCMP Superintendent Don McKenna presented the owner of Blackmans Butcher Shop Gary Harris with a plaque and a challenge coin in recognition of the years of support the company has given.
McKenna says Blackmans has been supporting Camp Little Buffalo for close to two decades.
“Blackmans puts on a barbeque every year, and they’ve been supplying all the accouterments for the barbeque and raising over $5,000 a year. And so, a rough estimate, a little over $70,000 they’ve raised over 19 years. And that meant that all those kids could go to camp,” says McKenna.
