Four charged after BC Peace kidnapping
Fort St. John RCMP say four people have been charged after a kidnapping in Dawson Creek.
On March 7, Mounties saw suspicious activity at a motel room and went to investigate, coming across an altercation in one of the rooms.
Three people were arrested. Searches of the room and two vehicles turned up illegal drugs, a sawed-off shotgun, semi-automatic firearm, and things belonging to a fourth person who was not there.
In the meantime, someone came to the detachment to say he had been abducted in Dawson Creek and held at a Taylor residence.
That lead to a search of that home, where another person was arrested and two more firearms seized.
A total of 24 charges have laid against 42-year-old Christopher Munch, 29-year-old Gavin Davis, 34-year-old Natasha Ray, and 26-year-old Theodore Capot-Blanc. The counts include kidnapping with a prohibited firearm and forcible confinement.
All but Ray are still in custody.
