Blades finish 2nd at Bantam C Provincials

The Beaverlodge Blades were in Nanton this past weekend for Bantam C Provincials.

The tournament kicked off Friday for the Blakes who began the tournament with a 6-1 win over Tofield.

Saturday the Blades continued round robin play with a 6-5 setback to Okotoks, but then bounced back with a 4-1 victory over the CR Knights.

A 2-1 record in the round robin secured a spot in Sunday’s semi-final where the Blakes crushed Nanton 10-0.

Beaverlodge would then meet Tofield in the Provincial Final, but in the re-match, it was Tofield who got the better of the Blades, winning 6-3.

Ethan Alook-Ferguson had a pair of goals in the loss, and Nate Lojczyc chipped in the other for the Blades.
