Alberta Premier Rachel Notley says new allegations that UCP Leader Jason Kenney’s team directed and propped up a bogus leadership candidate demonstrates “a profound absence of integrity.”
Emails and other exchanges between Kenney staffer Matt Wolf and candidate Jeff Callaway’s team in 2017 show Wolf giving Callaway’s organizers talking points, as well as speech and policy advice on attacking Kenney’s main rival in the race, Brian Jean.
One piece of correspondence between the two campaigns discussed when Callaway should drop out of the leadership race.
Wolf says in an email to the UCP caucus yesterday that he shared policy and research ideas with the campaign of Jeff Callaway, but Callaway was his own boss.
