Crucial Game 5 on tap in NPHL Final

Mar 19, 2019 | 6:46 AM

It has been a back and forth North Peace Hockey League Final so far and by the end of the week a new Champion will be crowned.

The Dawson Creek Canucks and the Grande Prairie Athletics are currently tied 2-2 heading into a pivotal Game 5 Tuesday night in Dawson Creek.

If Grande Prairie is going to win the NPHL Final, they will need to win a game on the road, which has proved to be quite difficult in this series.

The home team is a perfect 4-0 so far in the series.

Dawson Creek will be looking to bounce back following a 6-3 loss in Game 4 Saturday night in GP at the Coca-Cola Centre.

Another big difference in the series has been the Canucks goals against at home compared to on the road.

In two games in Dawson Creek, the Canucks have allowed just two goals.

However, in the two games in Grande Prairie, the Athletics have netted 13.

Face-off for Game 5 is Tuesday evening at 8:30 p.m. in B.C. (9:30 p.m. AB)
