S.O.S message in snow leads to rescue of man, dog near Pinto Lake

A lost Edmonton hiker has been rescued near a remote lake after writing an S-O-S signal in the snow.

Rocky Mountain House R-C-M-P were notified yesterday after a forestry camera captured the message on Pinto Lake.

A search and rescue team and a helicopter found the man and his dog.

The man had hiked in from Highway 11 near Cline River on a camping trip.
