Athletics one win away from league title
The Grande Prairie Athletics have stolen home ice advantage and have a chance to win the North Peace Hockey League championship on Thursday after a 4-1 win on the road in Dawson Creek Tuesday night.
Morgan Maclean opened the scoring for the Athletics in the first period to give the visitors the early advantage.
Grande Prairie’s one goal lead would carry over all the way into the 3rd period where the Athletics would extend their lead at the 4:40 mark thanks to Sam Bosek.
