GPRC Women’s Head Coach Mandy Both shares how this event is one which they are always excited for year after year.

“This is an event we look forward to every year. We bring together the top basketball players from across the peace region and bring them in to GPRC. We have expanded on the event this year. We will actually have players from the GPRC teams as coaches for the games this year.”

Not only will Thursday night’s games provide a chance for the 44 players to showcase their talents and get an experience of the college, the Wolves staff will get to see how the talent is shaping up from in Grande Prairie and the surrounding area.

“I really like the opportunity it provides to have the top athletes in our gym for a full day. There is enough down time in the day between practices and the games that I can have conversations with the student athletes on their plans for next season and about I.D camp. The flip side of it, I think it’s pretty cool to have the athletes come to our school and get a taste of our culture,” added Botham.

Tip off for the girl’s game is at 6:00 p.m. wile the boys will follow up at 8:00 p.m.
