A pair of players from the peace region will look to try and lead the Tri-City Americans on a lengthy playoff run this spring.

Spirit River’s Nolan Yaremko and Grande Prairie’s Paycen Bjorklund are coming off great regular seasons with Tri-City and will be hoping to carry that into the post-season.

Yaremko, 20, is in his final season in the Western Hockey League.

In 68 games in the regular season, the Americans Captain registered 28 goals and 38 assists.

Bjorklund on the other hand played 56 games this year with Tri-City and racked up 5 goals and 5 assists.

The Americans finished the regular season with a 34-28-5-1 record, and due to the U.S division being as competitive as it was this year, Tri-City finished in the 1st Wild Card position.

They will battle the Everett Silvertips in the opening round of the playoffs with the series beginning Friday night in Everett.
