Fog slows down operations at Edmonton Airport

Thick fog forced operations to grind to a halt at Edmonton International Airport yesterday, and police reported over two dozen collisions.

Airport spokeswoman Traci Bednard said no arriving or departing flights were able to operate in the morning.

She said it was a particular challenge because of spring break.

Flights resumed after the fog cleared around noon.
