NPHL teams victorious on Day 1 of Coy Cup

The 2019 Senior AA BC Provincial Championship kicked off Tuesday night in Fort St.John as the city hosts the Coy Cup tournament for the 1st time since 1994.

The tournament kicked off with the Dawson Creek Canucks earning an 8-2 win over the Williams Lake Stampeders.

Meanwhile in the late game, the host Fort St.John Flyers picked up an 8-3 victory against the Prince Rupert Rampage.

Day 2 of the Coy Cup will begin at 3:00 p.m. when Williams Lake (0-1) meets Prince Rupert (0-1)

The evening contest has Dawson Creek (1-0) going up against the host Fort St.John Flyers (1-0)

The 1st place team following the round robin will get a bye straight to the Championship game Saturday night, while the 2nd & 3rd place finishers will meet in the Semi-Final on Friday.
