Owner of trucking company involved in Humboldt Broncos crash pleads guilty to safety violations
CALGARY, AB — The owner of the trucking company involved in the deadly Humboldt Broncos bus crash has pleaded guilty to multiple charges of failing to comply with safety regulations.
A lawyer for Sukhmander Singh, the owner of Adesh Deol Trucking Company, entered guilty pleas on behalf of his client to five of the charges he was facing Wednesday morning in a Calgary courtroom.
According to the Canadian Press, the charges included failing to maintain time logs for drivers, neglecting to ensure his drivers complied with safety regulations, and having more than one daily log for any day. The offences occurred between January 1 and March 31.
