STARS getting $65-million from Federal Government

Mar 28, 2019 | 5:40 PM

The federal government has announced $65-million to allow the STARS air ambulance service in Western Canada to buy five new helicopters.

Public Safety Minister Ralph Goodale says the money will help save lives by boosting the availability of the service and improve its flexibility to respond to emergencies.

The new helicopters are part of a fleet renewal plan that includes the purchase of nine new aircraft.
