Sonnenberg rink earns 1st win at U18’s

3rd time was the charm for Cortland Sonnenberg’s Grande Prairie rink at the U18 Boys Curling Championship in Sherwood Park.

Following their tough 7-5 loss to Saskatchewan in the afternoon draw Wednesday, they bounced back with an 8-5 win over Newfoundland and Labrador in the evening.

The win was the rink’s first of the Championship and now sit with a 1-2 record.

The swan city rink will be back on the ice Thursday afternoon when they battle New Brunswick at 2:00 p.m.
