22nd Annual Sports Expo set for this weekend

The Grande Prairie Sports Expo is set to open up Friday afternoon at 4:00 p.m. and will feature a number of vendors and associations from around the region.

One of the Associations in attendance will be Grande Prairie Minor Baseball who will once again be setting up their popular batting cage from last year.

“We did this for the first-time last year. We set up a batting cage and we were told by the organizers it was pretty popular last year, so we are doing it again. It’s a lot of fun, ” stated GPMBA President Jason Lainchubury.

The Grande Prairie Minor Baseball Association will be one of many sporting groups who will also be accepting registration for their upcoming season.

The expo runs from 4-9pm Friday, 10:00 a.m.- 6:00 p.m. Saturday, and 10:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m. Sunday.
