Harsch and Blades look to stun top ranked Raiders

Apr 5, 2019 | 9:34 AM

When it comes to the 2nd round match-ups in the WHL playoffs, it does not get any bigger than the one in Saskatchewan between the Saskatoon Blades and the Prince Albert Raiders.

Both clubs were in the upper echelon of the WHL this season and loaded up for deep playoff runs.

For Grande Prairie’s Reece Harsch, he is used to the pressure of playing in big series throughout his WHL career.

Harsch was a part of the Seattle Thunderbirds squad who won the Western Hockey League crown two years ago and he is hopeful he can help lead his new team past the high-octane Raiders.

In Saskatoon’s 1st round sweep of the Moose Jaw Warriors, Harsch registered 1 assist.

Both clubs are coming off opening round sweeps as Prince Albert eliminated Red Deer in four straight games.

The series begins Friday in Prince Albert.
