Pair of FSJ players to collide in 2nd round of WHL playoffs

The 2nd round of the WHL playoffs is set to begin Friday night and a pair of players from Fort St.John will collide in B.C

Tristan Nielsen and the Vancouver Giants will host Ralph Jarratt and the Victoria Royals in Game 1 of their best of seven series at the Langley Events Centre.

Nielsen’s Giants are coming off a 6-game series win over the Seattle Thunderbirds in the 1st round.

The 19-year-old forward had 2 goals and 4 assists in the opening round.

Jarratt and the Royals had a similar 1st round series as they eliminated the Kamloops Blazers in 6 games.

The overage blue liner had a goal and 2 assists in the series win.

The winner of the series will advance to the Western Conference Final to face either the Spokane Chiefs or the Everett Silvertips.
