Two vehicle collision on Highway 43 eastbound near Clarkson Valley Rd.

UPDATE (4:25 p.m.) Valleyview RCMP say Highway 43 eastbound has since cleared. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.

UPDATE (3:30 p.m.) STARS says it flew a 45-year-old man in serious condition to the QE II.

511 Alberta says eastbound Highway 43 is closed in that area.

Traffic is being rerouted onto Range Road 253 and Township Road 710.

Valleyview RCMP are currently at the scene of a two vehicle collision on Highway 43 in the Clarkson Valley Rd. area.

Motorists are asked to travel with caution as delays are expected in the area. Eastbound traffic is being directed to side roads at this time

STARS Air Ambulance has been dispatched to the scene.

A caller to Everything Grande Prairie says traffic is bein rerouted to Range Road 253, but it is slow-going.
