Apr 8, 2019 | 7:48 AM

It was a big weekend for Spirit River product Nolan Yaremko who made his pro hockey debut over the weekend.

Yaremko, 20, signed an Amateur Try-Out with the AHL’s Stockton Heat following Yaremko’s Tri-City Americans being eliminated from the WHL post-season in the 1st round.

Over the weekend Yaremko got into the line-up with the Heat when Stockton visited Winnipeg for a pair of games against the Manitoba Moose.

The two clubs would end up splitting the pair of games which concluded on Sunday with a 6-2 Stockton win.

In the pair of games, Yaremko did not register any points but did have three shots on goal.

Yaremko and the Heat will play their final three games of the regular season this week.
