St Joe’s defensive line duo to represent Alberta at Pacific Challenge

The Swan City will be represented by a pair of defensive linemen from St. Joseph Catholic High School at the Pacific Challenge this summer.

Both Ashton Cyre and Dakota Power will play for Team Alberta U17 at the event from August 4-12, which will feature three scrimmages with local high schools on the island of Maui. They will first play Team Saskatchewan U17 on June 16 in Red Deer as a tune up for the trip to Hawai’i.

The U17 team is described as a development squad for the U18 by Football Alberta. Head coach at St Joe’s, Trevor Pritchard, was named to the coaching staff for the U18 team. That squad will represent Alberta at the 2019 Football Canada Cup from July 5-13 in Kingston, ON.
