Storm add to their blue line for next season

Apr 12, 2019 | 7:19 AM

The Grande Prairie Storm continue to add to their club for the 2019-2020 season, as the club announced their latest recruit Thursday afternoon.

Raegan Wiles of Calgary has committed to the Storm for next year following a strong season with the Calgary North Stars of the Alberta Midget Hockey League.

The blue liner had 7 goals and 9 assists in 33 regular season games.

Wiles played in 3 games with the Storm this past season as an affiliate player.

In a press release sent out by the club, Head Coach Matt Keillor provided this statement about their newest addition.

“Raegan is an unbelievable skater and with a very high ceiling. He plays a very professional style of game, with very mature decision making. He played a regular shift for us in wins against Spruce Grove and Drumheller this season, and he did not look out of place in Junior A hockey. You can’t get distracted by some of these players’ ages, they can play, and they can make an impact right away. I really like how things are shaping up on the back end. If fans like seeing a fast, creative, and offensive brand of hockey, they’re going to have plenty of opportunities to cheer for the next few years.”

This is the 2nd D-man to commit to the Storm in the past 5 days.
