Four St Joe’s defensive players, coach named to Senior Bowl All-Star team

The 2019 Football Alberta Senior Bowl will have plenty of Grande Prairie content.

Linebackers Aaron Federuik and Gabriel Speerin, as well as Defensive Backs Tyler Desutter and Joshua Piepgrass, all from St Joseph Catholic High School, have all been named to the North Senior Bowl All-Star team. Defensive Coordinator Bryan Noel will man the sidelines as a coach for Team North as well.

The players were selected to the 42-man roster after a selection camp this past week in Edmonton, which hosted 150 Grade 12 players.

St Joe’s defense was once again stellar this season, helping lead the team to a fifth straight Peace Bowl title, and only a two-loss season. The team also collected a bronze medal at tier-II provincials.

The 30^th annual all-star game pits the North All-Stars against the South All-Stars in Calgary on May 20.
