With Kenney in power, a bumpy ride could be in store for Trudeau and Horgan

Apr 17, 2019 | 7:46 AM

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and BC Premier John Horgan may need to fasten their seatbelts.

It appears they are in for a bumpy ride with Jason Kenney’s majority win in yesterday’s Alberta election.

Kenney and his United Conservatives have vowed to kill Alberta’s carbon tax, fight the federal carbon tax in court, and work to turf Trudeau from office in this October’s federal election.

Kenney says that on his first day as premier, he will proclaim a law that will reduce oil flows to BC in retaliation for its opposition to the expansion of the Trans Mountain pipeline.
