McLeod’s Oil Kings eye upset against Raiders

Apr 18, 2019 | 8:06 AM

A powerhouse match-up is set for the Eastern Conference Final in the WHL post-season.

The Prince Albert Raiders will battle the Edmonton Oil Kings with a spot in the WHL Final on the line.

If the Oil Kings are going to be successful against the top team in the Eastern Conference, Dawson Creek’s Wyatt McLeod will be a big reason why.

The veteran blue liner has logged plenty of minutes for the Oil Kings through the first two rounds of the post-season and has also contributed offensively.

In 10 games in the playoffs so far, McLeod has 3 goals and 3 assists including the game winner in Game 3 of the Oil Kings 2nd round series with the Calgary Hitmen.

The series between McLeod’s Oil Kings and the Prince Albert Raiders begins Friday night in Prince Albert.
