Husband charged in death of wife near Bezanson

A man has been charged with the death of his wife after her body was discovered at a home near Bezanson Tuesday.

RCMP Major Crimes North and Grande Prairie RCMP General Investigation Section have charged 59-year-old Randy Stephen Fiddler with second degree murder after the death of 55-year-old Merna Fiddler.

Fiddler made his first court appearance Wednesday in Grande Prairie Provincial Court.

He is due back in court May 8, at which time he will appear by closed-circuit television from the Peace River Correctional Centre.
