Woman hospitalized after being struck by vehicle in High Prairie

A 69-year-old woman was taken to hospital after being struck by a vehicle that was backing up in High Prairie on Wednesday.

The accident happened around 11:45 Wednesday morning in the parking lot of St. Andrew’s High School. A male youth driver was backing out of a parking stall, when the female was struck. RCMP and Emergency Services responded and the lady was transported to hospital with minor injuries.

The driver of the vehicle was charged with backing up unsafely.
