Man transported to Edmonton in life threatening condition after Highway 40 collision

STARS Air Ambulance says they transported a man, approximately 45 years old to an Edmonton hospital after a collision involving a semi and another vehicle.
It happened Sunday morning about 60 km south of Grande Prairie on Highway 40.
The patient was first taken to the QEII and then was transported on to Edmonton. A spokesperson with STARS says his injuries were life threatening.
Traffic was diverted around the scene for several hours Sunday.
