May 9, 2019 | 6:14 AM

The Grande Prairie Storm will be competing against one less team in the 2019-2020 season.

It was officially announced Wednesday morning that the league has granted the Calgary Mustangs a leave of absence for the 2019-2020 campaign.

The Mustangs are hoping to use the year to secure a sustainable future in either Calgary or through relocation to another community.

When it comes to the team’s current roster of players, a decision will be finalized when the league meets for its annual general meeting on May 25th.

With one less team, the league will be reducing its regular season schedule from 60 games to 58.

A full break down of how the schedule will work can be viewed below:

8 team North Division
• 2 games vs each team in the South Division (14)
• 2 games at AJHL Showcase (2)
