May 16, 2019 | 10:17 AM
The fire advisory in the County of Grande Prairie has been lifted thanks to the rain that has both fallen and is expected in the next few days. The advisory has also been lifted in the towns of Beaverlodge, Sexsmith, Wembley and Hythe.
Fire permits are being issued once again and are mandatory if you wish to burn during the fire season. Burning is still not allowed once winds reach 12 km/h or higher.
A fire restriction remains in Saddle Hills County, and a large fuel burn ban remains in Birch Hills County.
