May 30, 2019 | 8:14 AM

The Wheatbelt Baseball regular season resumed Wednesday night with a high-profile match-up between two of the best teams in the league.

The Peace River Stampeders battled the Rycroft Rage in Grimshaw.

Despite both teams racking up just 6 hits in the contest, it was the Stampeders who earned a 6-1 victory.

Peace River scored 3 in the first and 3 in the second to walk away with their 3rd win of the season and now sit in 1st place in the league standings with a 3-0 record.

The league will have Thursday night off before returning to the field Friday when the Rage look to get back in the win column when they host the Manning Mets.
