Eastlink Centre closes some aquatic amenities due to poor air quality

May 31, 2019 | 3:20 PM

The Eastlink Centre has closed a number of its aquatic amenities due to poor air quality.

Until further notice, the slides, splash features, splash park, lazy river and Flowrider will be closed.

In a release, the City says that the closure is in effect to protect the health, wellness and safety of guests and staff at the facility.

The indoor air quality will continue to be monitored by City maintenance and additional closures will be dependant on those determinations.

Aquatics is experiencing higher levels of poor air due to the moist environment and air handling units in the pool area.
