The busy off-season for the GPRC Wolves athletic teams continue and the Wolves Cross Country team has announced four new members.

The first member was Chris Nelissen, a graduate of Hillcrest Christian School in 2018 and is one of the top U20 800m runners in Alberta.

Lydia Steinke from Peace Wapiti Academy is joining the Wolves as well.

Steinke is a multiple time NW zone champion in both cross country and track and has represented the region at two Alberta Summer Games and a total of five Provincial High School Championships.

Another Peace Wapiti Academy grad signing on with the Wolves is Jordan Lundstrom.

Lundstrom placed 13th in last year’s Provincial High School Championships.

Finally, returning to the Wolves is 2014 Male Athlete of the Year Hayden Hollowell.

Hollowell is a two time All Conference Cross Country runner in the ACAC and last competed for the University of Saskatchewan.

The Wolves Cross Country program has produced five National Champions in the past 30 years and the new crop of Wolves recruits will begin the 2019-2020 season in September.
