Schimek joins Storm for 19/20 season

The Grande Prairie Storm continue to get their roster ready for the 2019-2020 season and over the weekend the club announced their newest defenceman.

Will Schimek of Mendota Heights Minnesota will be joining the club next year after a productive final season with St.Thomas Academy.

In 25 games played, the 6’2 blue-liner had 8 goals and 10 assists.

Schimek becomes the 3rd announced recruit by the Storm on the blue line this off-season.

In April the club announced the commitments of both Cade Mason and Raegen Wiles.

Schimek and the rest of the Storm will be on the ice for training camp at the end of August.
