Jun 19, 2019 | 5:41 PM

More evacuation orders have been issued in Mackenzie County, as the Chuckegg Creek Wildfire continues to be stoked by dry and windy conditions.

The order is issued for everyone in the area located north of Highway 697, south of the Peace River and west of Steep Hill Creek.

Residents are to travel to Fort Vermillion and report to the Mackenzie County Office at 4511 46 Ave or call 780-927-3718.

Wildfires continue to push people from their homes in that area, as evacuation orders remain in place for the Beaver First Nation Child Lake Reserve, Boyle River Reserve, Dene Tha’ First Nation, Indian Cabins and La Crete.

The Chuckegg Creek Wildfire remains out of control at over 325,000 hectares in size. The Jackpot Creek blaze to the north has reached over 77,000 hectares in size.

The Weather Network states that rain may be in the forecast for the High Level area for this weekend, with a 60% chance of showers on Sunday.
