Pair charged in death of missing Sturgeon Lake man

Two men have been charged with murder in relation to a missing Sturgeon Lake man.

Barry Goodswimmer was reported missing June 16 and Thursday Major Crimes confirmed they have laid first degree murder charges in relation to his death.

39-year-old Harlin Martineau and 22-year-old Allan Hamelin, both of Sturgeon Lake, have been charged with first degree murder, kidnapping and assault with a weapon.

Both Hamelin and Martineau remain in custody. The pair is due in Grande Prairie Provincial Court Monday (June 24.)
