Peace Region product new Wolves women’s basketball coach

Jun 20, 2019 | 3:22 PM

A man originally from Valleyview and a one-time GPRC student is the new head coach of the Wolves women’s basketball team.

Bill Bradley has a dozen years coaching experience, most recently spending five years as an assistant coach with MacEwan University. He also coached Hillside school in his home town for a half-dozen years.

“I’m looking forward to being back in the community. In my time there, it was quickly evident that Grande Prairie is a basketball community and the College is seen as a hub for the sport. I’m looking forward to becoming a part of it and putting my own stamp on the program,” Bradley says in a news release sent out by the College.

He goes on to say he is already familiar with some of the players.

“I was fortunate enough to coach some of these players at the high school level. It’s exciting to be able to watch them on the court now and see how they’ve advanced as players.”

The Wolves will start the basketball season October 18 and 19 on the road against NAIT.

The first home games will be November 1 and 2 against Concordia.
