Jun 24, 2019 | 11:14 AM

The GPRC Wolves Women’s Volleyball team has a new Head Coach behind the bench.

The College announced Friday that Lauren Hale-Miller has accepted the position for the 2019-2020 season.

Hale-Miller was Head Coach of the University of New Brunswick Saint John Seawolves and stated in a press release how exciting the opportunity was to come to Grande Prairie.

“A major reason why this opportunity was so appealing to me was because of the importance I can see Wolves Athletics puts on building culture and community in its programs.”

GPRC Athletics Manager Thomas Slifka stated in the release that the College is extremely excited to have Lauren join the Wolves.

“Her enthusiasm and desire to grow our student athletes into better citizens is evident. Her passion for the sport is contagious, and her previous coaching success at the CCAA level will help us continue to grow our women’s volleyball program and community programs in Grande Prairie.”

Hale-Miller and the GPRC Wolves Women’s Volleyball team will begin the 2019-2020 campaign on October 18th when they host the Keyano College Huskies.
