Whitecourt RCMP looking for adult male who approached teen girl

Whitecourt RCMP are on the look out for an adult male suspect that approached a 13-year-old girl on Saturday afternoon.

RCMP received the complaint on Sunday, following the incident that occurred around 1:30 p.m. the day before. The young female was walking just off Park Drive North in a field area when a black, two-door GMC pickup truck pulled up beside her.

The man then asked the girl if she wanted a ride, which led to the suspect allegedly grabbing her arm. The girl was able to escape and ran to a nearby friend’s house, while the suspect was last seen driving east towards the Tags Gas Station.

The suspect is described as:

• A white male
• 40-50 years old
• Red hair and beard
• Wearing a black top with grey sweatpants
