Jun 25, 2019 | 11:00 AM

The GPRC Wolves announced Tuesday morning their new Head Coach of the Men’s Volleyball team.

Former coach of the Women’s Volleyball program Sam Tuivai will re-join the Wolves for the 2018-2019 campaign.

Tuivai coached the Women’s team in 2016.

“I am looking forward to the new challenge ahead,” stated Tuivai in a press release sent out by the GPRC Tuesday.

“The volleyball community at GPRC and in Grande Prairie is highly competitive, and I’m excited to be back with a new great group of athletes. I have been lucky enough to work with former coach Mitch [Schneider] and he’s really done a really great job. I’m excited to carry on his work.”

GPRC is also extremely excited to have Tuivai back as part of their coaching staff.

“His high-level playing experience and his previous Wolves coaching experience will put our student athletes in a great position to succeed. We are excited for him to start working with our program,” shared GPRC Athletics Manager Thomas Slifka.

The Wolves will begin their 2019-2020 campaign on October 18th when they host Keyano College.
